Gallego touts Phoenix’s efforts during White House meeting on heat emergency

Phoenix Mayor Gallego and San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg took part in a teleconference with President Joe Biden as part of a White House briefing on the extreme heat enveloping much of the country. One environmental group welcomed the protections for workers, but said the actions mentioned by the president do not go nearly far enough to tackle the larger issue of climate change.
