Amerit 20 year
SAN DIEGO - July 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)
As one of the largest Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Staffing companies in America, Amerit is proud to have continuously offered staffing, payroll service, managed service provider solutions and consulting services for over two decades. Throughout their endeavors, Amerit has provided high-quality executives, managers and employees to Fortune 500 companies while enabling businesses to grow by capitalizing on their Veteran-partner requirements.
Founded in 2002 by two-time Purple Heart recipient, Gary Herbold, Amerit was originally established from humble beginnings to help Veterans find employment. Upon Gary's return from Vietnam, he worked with other Veterans by fitting them with prosthetic limbs. He then attempted to gain employment as a nurse but was turned down due to his "lack of experience;" although he served as a combat medic with honor and distinction. With the passing of General Order 156, Gary noticed an opportunity to utilize his Veteran status and experience to provide staffing solutions to the state of California. Amerit was then propelled into achieving year-over-year growth and has demonstrated longevity within the staffing realm.
Over the years, Amerit has received multiple awards for their Veteran and military spouse staffing initiatives including the Meritorious Support of Veterans Award by the Veterans Memorial Center, Inc., the John K. Lopez Award for Business Excellence awarded by the California Department of Veterans Affairs, Top 100 Disabled Veteran Owned Business by Diversity Business.com, Congressional Recognition from Congressman McNerney and Congressman Hunter as well as recognition as a Veteran Employer of Choice.
In addition to their Veteran staffing initiatives, Amerit also received supplier recognition for outstanding performance with multiple Fortune 100 clients.
After 16 years, Gary Herbold retired, and Ian Wagemann was appointed to President and Chief Executive Officer. Ian served in the United States Army as an Airborne Infantryman where he overcame extreme challenges while on deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq. Due to Ian's faithful military service, Amerit was able to preserve its classification as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise.
"Amerit has been blessed with an amazing team of individuals which has directly contributed to our phenomenal growth over our 20 years," Ian Wagemann states. "We have so much to be thankful for and plenty of reasons to celebrate."
"We are proud of the achievements within the technology, healthcare and finance industries and look forward to our bright future and continued expansion into exciting industries," states Wagemann.
Under Gary and Ian's leadership, Amerit has grown into a multi-million-dollar enterprise that continues to break barriers in Veteran staffing and partnering with progressive businesses to capitalize on their supplier diversity spend goals and initiatives.
