Friday, October 16:

  • 11 am - 12:30 pm: Ms. Opal is available for interviews.
  • 1 pm - 3 pm: Ms. Opal is hosting a community discussion session and providing signings of her book Juneteenth a Children's Story at The Commons on Merton 258 N. Merton St.  
  • 4 pm - 6p m: Ms. Opal is available for interviews. 


Saturday, October 17:

  • 9:30 am - 11:30 am: A Juneteenth meet-and-greet and education event is being held at the farmers market at the First Congregational Church, 1000 Cooper St, Memphis. Ms. Opal will share key Juneteenth messages and her book will be available for signing. 


Sunday, October 18:

  • 11 am - 2 pm: Ms. Opal is available for interviews.
