Market Update (NYSE:T): AT&T plans to sell linear TV ads using Web-like methods

[at MarketWatch] – Through a partnership with the ad technology firm Videology, AT&T plans to introduce what it’s referring to as a “private marketplace” for a select group of advertisers. Read more on this. AT&T, Inc. (T) , with a current market cap of $233.16B, started the session at $37.69. Today, shares have traded between $37.49 and $37.95 per share and has traded between $30.97 and $37.95 over the past year. T shares are currently priced at 13.22x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively inexpensive compared to the industry’s 15.13x earnings multiple. And for income investors, the company pays shareholders $1.92 per share annually in dividends, yielding 5.17%. In a review of the consensus earnings estimate this quarter, 21 sell-side analysts are looking at $0.69 per share, which would be $0.06 better than the year-ago quarter and a $0.02 sequential decrease.
