TEMPE, Ariz. - April 12, 2023 - PRLog -- PADT, a globally recognized provider of numerical simulation, product development, and 3D printing products and services, has announced that it will lead a group of Arizona organizations dedicated to growing the space industry in Arizona in hosting a booth at the 38th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, CO from April 17-20. Arizona is one of the fastest growing regions for space development with leading legacy companies, suppliers and a wide range of startups entering the market in Arizona.
"PADT has several customers in different areas of space for more than 20 years and it's very important we continue to grow our presence here in Arizona," said Eric Miller, co-founder, and principal, PADT. "We're proud to join some of the leading organizations and economic development entities in attending the Space Symposium for the third time as a group to further promote and bolster our capabilities here locally."
PADT has a long history of serving customers throughout the space industry. The company is currently exploring bio-inspired 3D printed design with ASU through an STTR grant from NASA. Additionally, in 2018, Stratasys Ltd. and PADT teamed up with Lockheed Martin Space to deliver next-generation 3D printed parts for NASA's Orion deep-space spacecraft. Also, as an Ansys Elite Channel Partner, PADT supports a wide range of space companies, including those who are members of the Ansys Startup Program to established leaders in aerospace.
As a state, Arizona is home to several key companies and post-secondary education institutions deeply invested in the business of space. ASU and University of Arizona are key contributors to research and development for multiple space related projects, the Council and ACA have worked hard to promote space business and attract companies of all sizes, while other members of the coalition are directly involved in space or are servicing their customers in space.
"Benchmark is thrilled to be a member of the Arizona space community supporting space customers ranging from NASA-JPL to SATCOM innovators with microelectronics and hybrid assembly, module level assembly, RF tuning and test, and custom RF filters," said Lauren Nickle, Sector VP Aerospace and Defense, Benchmark. "Joining the Arizona Space Industry Group at the 37th Space Symposium is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in space and ensure we meet the industry's needs into the future."
"Arizona has a long and storied history serving the space ecosystem and many of the largest aerospace companies in the world have significant operations here and are key contributors to both public and private space expeditions," said Steve Zylstra, president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council and SciTech Institute. "Attending the Space Symposium with this outstanding group of practitioners, educators and economic development leaders will be another great opportunity to promote our capabilities and established foundation in this sector."
