USA Cabinet Store, a kitchen and bath remodeling specialist operating since 2011, has highlighted how its recent Alexandria kitchen project demonstrates the growing industry shift toward minimalist design and frameless cabinet construction, as documented in the National Kitchen & Bath Association's recently released NKBA 2026 Kitchen Trends Report.
The completed Alexandria residence features Showplace EVO frameless cabinetry with Vienna door styling in Skyline Dusk finish, pairing Perla White quartz countertops and matching backsplash by MSI with Artesso fauceting by Brizo and Top Knobs hardware. The project was designed by David from the company's Fairfax showroom.

"The Alexandria project exemplifies how modern homeowners are embracing frameless construction not just for its contemporary appearance, but for the practical advantage of maximizing interior cabinet space," said Emin Halac, President of USA Cabinet Store. "By eliminating the traditional face frame that blocks access to cabinet corners, frameless designs provide approximately 15 percent more usable storage while delivering the seamless look that aligns with current design preferences."
According to the NKBA report, which surveyed over 600 kitchen and bath professionals, 60 percent identify minimalism as a popular style for the next three years, with 69 percent citing flat slab door styles as gaining prominence. Frameless cabinetry in kitchens now represents 40 to 45 percent of the cabinet market, driven by enhanced storage capacity and cleaner aesthetic lines.
The findings also indicate that 72 percent of respondents name transitional and timeless design as the top kitchen style preference, followed by contemporary and minimalist aesthetics at 60 percent. The Vienna door's vertical grain design bridges these dominant preferences by offering clean lines with enduring appeal.
Additionally, 75 percent of professionals identify slab and solid surface backsplashes as gaining popularity — a trend reflected in the Alexandria kitchen's unified quartz countertop and backsplash surfaces, which eliminate visual clutter and reduce maintenance.
The EVO line featured in the Alexandria project offers European frameless aesthetics with American semi-custom flexibility, including custom sizing to one-sixteenth inch precision and extensive modification options. This addresses the NKBA report's finding that personalization and lifestyle customization remain key priorities for homeowners undertaking kitchen renovations.
David Martinez, lead designer for the Alexandria project, noted: "Homeowners initially expressed concern about losing traditional detail, but once they understood the storage advantages and saw the seamless aesthetic in our showroom, frameless construction became their preferred choice."
