Criminal Defense Lawyer Robert A. Dodell Celebrates 29 Years Being in Private Practice

Robert Dodell Law Offices, based in Scottsdale, AZ, is happy to announce Attorney Dodell is celebrating his 29 years of being in a private criminal defense practice in Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Phoenix, Arizona. He is committed to providing excellent criminal defense by thoroughly investigating cases, carefully preparing for cases, and aggressively litigating both criminal and juvenile defense cases. He is also committed to providing representation for people involved in juvenile dependency, severance, adoption, and guardianship issues.

Attorney Dodell handles various kinds of criminal defense cases, such as: assault, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, drug crimes, forgery, fraud, juvenile crimes, probation violations, record expungement, sealing criminal records, set aside, sex crimes, shoplifting, theft, threats/ intimidation, trespassing, warrants, weapons charges, DUI, and domestic violence.

Attorney Robert Dodell wants to emphasize that there is an opportunity for his clients, which is the pre-charging investigation. He explains, “The pre-charging investigation is an opportunity for you to fight your criminal case even before it goes to court. Prior to making an arrest or filing charges, local law enforcement agencies often investigate people suspected of committing an offense. This is the best time for someone under investigation to hire an attorney to conduct an independent investigation to take control and defend the case.”

There are a number of goals in a pre-charging investigation. These include: preventing the filing of charges; reducing the charges; helping with self-surrender, arranging release conditions, and avoiding arrest; diverting allegations into an informal disposition, and ensuring clients are advised of their legal rights.

During the pre-charging investigation, the criminal defense lawyer can enhance the credibility of his client or reduce the credibility of the complaining witness. Some of the usual ways of increasing the credibility of their client is to inform the prosecutor about favorable evidence and/or polygraph results. Attorney Dodell says, “By providing favorable evidence or witness statements to the prosecution, it is possible to challenge or question the complainant’s side of the story, or his reputation for truthfulness, making it possible to prevent the filing of charges.”

Meanwhile, the Law Offices of Robert Dodell has been receiving highly positive feedback from former clients. The firm currently has an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars on Google and in a recent review, Randy C. gave them five stars and said, “Hired Robert for a legal matter and required a lawyer that was familiar with the Scottsdale court system. Robert was always easy to get a hold of on the same day and has a wealth of legal experience. From day one I could tell that Robert wasn't like the lawyers you see in commercials. He actually cares and doesn't see you as a number. Robert was able to get the exact result I was looking for which was not an easy feat. I will absolutely use Robert again in the future for any type of legal need. Lastly, and most important for most, the fee that I paid was well below what I anticipated.”

Robert A. Dodell was born in Kentucky and raised in New York. He moved to Arizona while still in high school and he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with cum laude honors, from the University of Arizona. He earned his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1985.
