Wilmington, Delaware, United States - 11-23-2022 (PR Distribution™) -
The CEO and Founder of Gable Music Ventures and The Ladybug Music Festival is expanding her company’s brand nationally to empower women in the music industry.
November 23, 2022- Wilmington, DE —In 2011, Gayle Dillman created Gable Music Ventures to serve as a platform for developing artists to showcase and perform original music. Gable has been credited with helping to revitalize the music scene in Wilmington, Delaware. Gayle found her niche creating signature music events including the Ladybug Music Festival, Fortify Festival, and Smyrna at Night, just to name a few. She offers her expertise and superior skill set to her clients by providing them with an array of creative solutions, showcasing each one’s unique style of music.
Over the last eleven years, it has dynamically grown, and the Gable team has worked tirelessly to develop and find opportunities for musicians in Delaware to create and perform. Nationally, Gable is best known for establishing and running the annual summer event, the Ladybug Music Festival. Ladybug was launched in 2012 and it has become an annual celebration of women in the music industry. It features an all-female lineup of artists who are local to the Wilmington and Philadelphia and nationally to all women in the music scene. Ladybug became so successful that it expanded to Milford, DE, in 2018. Ladybug Music Festival came to life when local shop and loft owners, Michael, and Debbie Schwartz, asked Gable Music Ventures to throw a live music block party for their tenants, shortly after Firefly Music Festival was announced. From 2012 through 2017, Ladybug grew to be one of the most popular events in Wilmington, DE, with attendance doubling every single year, and it has become the largest celebration of women in music in the United States.
“Being a part of a concerted effort to elevate the music scene for women is both essential and empowering. We all need to collaborate because our voices are far stronger together than apart” -Gayle Dillman, CEO Gable Music Ventures
As the event has grown, Gable has become even more inspired to make an impact on women in the music industry. Ladybug not only exclusively hires females or female-identifying fronted bands, but they also are committed to doing whatever they can to hire as many women as they can for all open positions on the festival staff. Gable is now looking to expand their brand nationally and create Ladybug Music Festivals in major cities across the country. These pop-up concerts will give a voice and empower women of all ages in the music industry from the female artist on stage to all the women who work behind the scenes.
Today, Gayle has been recognized for her hard work and accomplishments as the recipient of the following awards: Delaware Today’s Women in Business (2015), the Women Who Rock Award (2019), and the University of Delaware’s We Hatch Honor Circle Award (2021). She has also been recognized for her outstanding achievements associated with The Ladybug Festival, as well as the other signature events she has created in Delaware.
