About the Author:
Dawn Blanchard is a writer, single and living on the Western Slope of Colorado. She is a Tibetan Buddhist, fine artist and author who lived in northern Arizona for over 17 years and spent many days hiking the canyons and deserts in the southwest. She has written many articles for magazines such as Southwest Art Magazine, as well as the article “Shaman’s and Master Artists: Understanding the Parallels in Rock Art” published by the American Rock Art Research Association. She also published ‘The Heart Sutra. The Perfection of Wisdom’ a small illustrated gift book celebrating the first teaching by Shakyamuni Buddha. Blue Moon Bench is her first novel and highlights the love the author has for northern Arizona and its native culture and majestic beauty. She is currently writing the sequel, “The Magic Shaman.”
