BRONX, NY - Bronx-bred artist Sinned is flipping the script on what a music release looks like with Ritual III - The Series, a fully independent anime-style visual project that's part EP, part movie, and 100% different from anything dropping right now. After getting removed from streaming platforms, the rising MC didn't fold—he went harder, building his own lane with a direct-to-fan model that puts the art first.

RitualIIIhits different. It's not your typical music video drop. The series tells a gritty story set between 2015-2017, when tensions in America were at an all-time high. Drawing inspiration from Sun Tzu's The Art of War and diving deep into MK Ultra's psychological warfare tactics, Sinned weaves in real experiences from his own life to create something that's equal parts personal and powerful. The narrative follows the rise of an inner monster—the kind that gets created when the world keeps pushing you to the edge.
"I grew up on comic books, anime, and superhero stories. Started making my own comics on construction paper when I was like 7," Sinned says. "For that little kid who's still inside me, this is literally the wildest dream. I'm giving people a whole movie inspired by my lyrics."
The production—handled by Flagman and Xane OTB—captures that classic 90s boom-bap aesthetic Sinned grew up on, but the visuals take it somewhere completely new. Think Afro Samurai meets Boondocks with a raw New York edge.
Going independent isn't new in hip-hop, but Sinned's taking it to another level. With no Spotify, no Apple Music, no traditional platforms—just straight artist-to-fan—he's building a cult following of people who actually want to be part of the experience, not just stream and scroll.
"I'm trying to give fans a real experience. Being direct-to-consumer means I gotta work twice as hard to get people into my world," the artist explains. "But that's the whole point. If you're here, you're really here. This series is how I'm showing people what I'm really about."
For an MC who didn't start making music until he was 18, Sinned's been making up for lost time. But really, he's been a storyteller his whole life—music just gave him a new medium. Now he's combining everything: the writing, the visuals, the 90s-influenced sound, all of it.
Ritual III- The Series isn't for casual listeners. It's for heads who appreciate when an artist puts their whole vision on the line and creates something that actually means something.
