Next Evolution of Best-In-Class Multi-agent AI Assistant for Unreal Engine Releases with Aura 12.0 Beta

Whitepaper Published by AccelByte and Ramen Proves Substantial Acceleration of Backend Integration for Video Game Development from One Week to One Hour

Ramen, developer of Aura, has released Aura 12.0 beta, the latest iteration of the best-in-class multi-agent AI assistant for Unreal Engine, which launched this January. Aura 12.0 introduces enhanced animation and rigging functionality, as well as two new AI agents, resulting in the most accurate approach for developers to iterate in Unreal Engine without the need for human intervention. Telos 2.0 is the next evolution of the original breakthrough AI Agent for Unreal Blueprints, and the new Dragon Agent adds functionality to unlock autonomous agentic loops that can construct full gameplay systems without even opening Unreal Engine.

Additionally, the company has published a whitepaper with AccelByte, the leading game backend platform, “From One Week to One Hour: Integrating AccelByte with Aura.” The technical report demonstrates how integrating backend services into an Unreal Engine project can be massively accelerated by their MCP server, which connects Aura directly to the AccelByte Online Subsystem SDK.

“We are proud to be sharing the latest version of Aura 12.0 as it brings Agentic AI to developers of all types, enabling teams to accomplish top results in seconds versus days, or weeks versus months, all without sacrificing scalability or quality,” said Andy Tsen, CEO & co-founder at Ramen. “Our mission is to empower game makers responsibly and consciously with the tools they need to succeed so they can deliver joy to players all over the world.”

During Games Developer Conference (GDC), which runs from March 9-13 in San Francisco, Ramen will be offering private demos to select developers, including a complimentary, limited-time proof of concept. Meeting requests can be made here.

Aura v0.12.0 Key Features:

Blueprint Agent Improvements

  • Expanding on Aura’s already best-in-class proprietary reasoning framework, Telos 2.0 offers a dramatic improvement in both performance and accuracy, allowing users to construct entire systems in blueprints at 10x the speed and 1/10th the cost of competitors. Telos 2.0’s enhanced feature set includes:
    • Faster and more streamlined editing of blueprints
    • The ability to process existing blueprints graphs with >99% accuracy
    • A 16% performance increase on hard-level benchmarks
    • Greatly improved accuracy of interpreting existing blueprints graphs
    • A 25x reduction in error rate when interpreting blueprint graphs
    • Advance node search for project and custom nodes

New Animation and Rigging Functionality

  • Aura’s new animation tools, in combination with its image and 3D model generation capabilities, allow users to create fully animated characters in seconds.
  • Animation tooling specifics:
    • Automatically rig and skin humanoid meshes
    • Retarget animations from one skeletal mesh to another
    • Help swap pawns and actors with ones based on your character

Dragon Agent

  • Aura can perform complex, multi-step actions across the editor using Unreal python, allowing it to do almost any action a user can perform in Unreal
  • Aura can batch edit actors/components in the current level, detect unused project assets, identify naming convention issues, and more
  • Aura can reduce workflow time from hours of manual edits down to mere seconds

Unlocking autonomous agentic loops – It is no longer necessary to have Unreal Engine open to use Aura

  • Aura can now autonomously compile C++ code without the need for Unreal to be open. It can also close and reopen UE projects on its own, leading to fewer interruptions and faster iteration cycles
  • Aura seamlessly integrates with agents like Claude Code to build and test full systems using BP, Code, and assets

Technical White Paper Summary

Aura's Head of AI, Hisham Bedri, partnered with AccelByte's Principal Engineer, Matthew South, to build an MCP server that connects Aura directly to the AccelByte Online Subsystem SDK. Bedri and South built out the full integration pipeline: plugin install, auth, achievements, leaderboards, matchmaking, and debug UI to verify each step.

Key Findings

  • 20x faster integration time: A senior Unreal engineer typically spends a week integrating a backend SDK with login, achievements, stats tracking, and matchmaking. Aura cuts this down to about an hour
  • Production-grade output: The generated code uses the actual AccelByte SDK APIs, ensuring scalability and quality
    • AccelByte powers online services for large-scale games developed by studios like Krafton, Dreamhaven, and Skybound. These are backends built for millions of concurrent users. The platform is battle-tested at AAA scale
  • Zero context switching: Every step happened inside the Unreal Editor. No browser tabs with API docs, no copy-pasting from code samples, no switching between IDE and engine

About Ramen

Ramen is a developer of tools and platforms that aims to build the future of gaming through cutting-edge AI technologies to create experiences that allow users to shape their own realities and discover new ways to interact with the digital and physical worlds. Originally a VR game studio behind the hit game Zenith: Nexus, the company took key learnings alongside reflecting on what would be beneficial and evolved itself to serve the needs of developers. Aura was launched by Ramen in January 2026 and serves as its flagship AI Agent that has quickly become the best-in-class multi-agent AI assistant for Unreal Engine. The latest iteration, Aura 12.0, was released in February 2026 with more offerings, including Telos 2.0 for Unreal Blueprints, new animation and rigging functionality, and the Dragon Agent with the functionality to unlock autonomous agentic loops.

Founded in 2019 and led by CEO Andy Tsen, the Ramen team is composed of talent that spans DIY (hackers, modders, dropouts), AAA game studios (Activision, Blizzard, Riot, Ubisoft) and tech (Apple, Google). Ramen has raised over $40 million from lead investors YCombinator, Maker’s Fund, Anthos Capital, Dune Ventures, along with other distinct supporters. More information about the company can be found at: www.ramenvr.com.

We are proud to be sharing the latest version of Aura 12.0 as it brings Agentic AI to developers of all types, enabling teams to accomplish top results in seconds versus days, or weeks versus months, all without sacrificing scalability or quality.
