Visana Health Appoints Chief Commercial Officer to Drive New Growth

Veteran healthcare executive Tom Maraday joins Visana to scale its comprehensive virtual women’s health model and deliver value to more payers and employers through strategic innovation

Visana Health, a comprehensive virtual women’s health clinic that provides whole-person medical care for women from menstruation to menopause, has appointed Tom Maraday, a senior executive with over 35 years of experience in developing health and wellbeing solutions for large employers and payers, as Chief Commercial Officer. Tom will be responsible for leading national and regional health plan sales, driving activation with employers, and growing member enrollments, while leveraging his deep expertise in sales, marketing, and account management to create scalable infrastructure and build high-performing teams that advance Visana Health’s mission.

“Tom is a proven leader with a track record of leading high-performing, fast-growing teams and accelerating organizational growth across some of the most transformative sectors in healthcare,” said Joe Connolly, Cofounder and CEO of Visana Health. “His experience working with payers and employers to develop new health and wellbeing models is essential as we continue to deepen our relationships with current payers and scale our model to more payers and self-funded employers across the U.S., ensuring every woman is heard and helped.”

Tom has played pivotal roles in scaling fast-growing businesses and innovative care models, including virtual healthcare, preventive/proactive care and value-based care for organizations, such as Omada Health, EHE Health, Bright Horizons and Plus One (now Optum). He brings a deep understanding of the payer and employer sales cycle, and a deep understanding of sales strategy, channel development, and value-driven care solutions. However, for Tom, the mission is a personal one.

“As a father to two daughters, a brother to two sisters, and a son to a 98-year-old mother, I’ve had a front-row seat to how our health care system consistently fails women — misdiagnosed pain, dismissed symptoms, and delays that lead to lasting harm. These aren’t rare experiences; they’re systemic failures with an enormous cost, not just for women but for the employers and health plans trying to support them,” said Maraday. “This is why I joined Visana Health. The organization is fundamentally changing the standard of care by delivering whole-person, specialty care to women virtually with proven outcomes, a best-in-class patient experience, and a model designed to scale with health plans and employers.”
