Marking the One-Year Anniversary of NBDF’s Inclusivity-Focused Rebrand, the Conference Will Feature Jeanne White-Ginder, an Exclusive Sneak Preview of the Ryan White Documentary, Sessions on Advocacy, Healthcare Access, and More.
The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) will host its 76th Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference (BDC) from September 12-14, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
Kicking off on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., the opening session, “The Power of One Voice,” will highlight Jeanne White-Ginder, mother of Ryan White, the 13-year-old boy who became a symbol of activism after battling AIDS-related discrimination in the 1980s. Jeanne will share her and Ryan’s powerful story and, alongside Patrick James Lynch of Believe Limited, and NBDF President and CEO Phil Gattone, premiere an exclusive sneak preview of the upcoming documentary Poster Child, chronicling Ryan White’s life and legacy.
Attendees can also look forward to the “Phil & Friends Fireside Chat,” featuring a special celebrity guest and surprise musical performance, which promises to be one of the most memorable moments of the conference.

This focus will be reflected throughout the conference, with nine key sessions translated into Spanish to promote accessibility and sessions addressing important topics such as “Overcoming Fear and Ableism,” “Teens: Self-Advocacy,” and “Muslim Voices: Intersecting Identities.”

The event will conclude with NBDF’s annual awards ceremony on Saturday, September 14, 2024, recognizing this year’s most influential advocates, researchers, physicians, and philanthropists.
