Groundbreaking Program Supporting Women in Cancer Treatment Honors Legends, Advocates, Survivors
Look Good Feel Better, the global charitable organization dedicated to serving people in cancer treatment, will celebrate its annual BeautyCares DreamBall on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:30PM ET. The in-person gala is the single largest fundraising event for the Look Good Feel Better program which provides free workshops for people in cancer treatment designed to help address the physical and appearance related side-effects that often accompany cancer treatment. The Gala program honors leaders and legends in the beauty and personal care industries, as well as cancer survivors. To attend, participate or donate, visit www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org/dreamball.
The BeautyCares DreamBall gathers leaders across the beauty, personal care, retail, and publishing industries, as well as program volunteers, hospital partners, health care providers, cancer patients and survivors to celebrate and support Look Good Feel Better. Founded in 1989, Look Good Feel Better has served more than 2.1 million cancer patients in 27 countries through in-person, as well as virtual workshops. Look Good Feel Better workshops cover skincare and makeup, wigs and head-coverings, nail care, body image and styling, and are an invaluable resource for people undergoing cancer treatment.
“We are excited to welcome our supporters and friends back to our first live event since 2019,” said Louanne Roark, Executive Director of the Look Good Feel Better Foundation. “While technology allowed us to deliver our program virtually to patients without interruption over the past two years, we look forward to again hosting in-person workshops. Our generous supporters and program champions across the country and around the world share our commitment to building community, providing support, and restoring confidence for people in cancer treatment. Cancer strikes without discrimination, and Look Good Feel Better is better positioned than ever before to help any cancer patient in need of our life-changing support.”
The BeautyCares DreamBall recognizes beauty and personal care industry leaders for their support of the Look Good Feel Better mission and message, as well as cancer survivors whose stories inspire others. This year’s honorees include:
