KM&M Expands Entertainment Practice with Addition of Partner Dan Stone

KM&M Welcomes Experienced Entertainment and Labor Attorney to Los Angeles Office

NEW YORK, NY, November 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- KM&M is proud to announce that Dan Stone has joined the firm as a partner in our Los Angeles office. With more than 16 years of experience across entertainment, media, technology, sports, and labor and employment law, Mr. Stone brings a deep understanding of the business and creative forces shaping today's industries.

Mr. Stone counsels clients across the creative and corporate spectrum from artists, producers, and content owners to major studios and global corporations. His practice spans a wide range of matters, including intellectual property protection, contract disputes, rights of publicity and privacy, labor and employment issues, and compliance under California's Talent Agencies Act. He is also a trusted advisor to executives and founders of emerging digital and entertainment companies, guiding them through complex negotiations, partnerships, and disputes that blend innovation and creative rights.

Most recently, Mr. Stone served as a partner at Greenberg Glusker, a full-service Los Angeles–based firm, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of litigation and dispute resolution, including trials and appeals. Mr. Stone also previously served as Assistant General Counsel at the Directors Guild of America, where he negotiated and interpreted collective bargaining agreements and advised on pension and health plan matters affecting thousands of entertainment professionals. His thought leadership has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and Variety, where he has been sought for commentary on legal and labor developments shaping Hollywood.

"Dan's combination of entertainment industry experience and labor law experience makes him an exceptional addition to our team," said Bill Zuckerman, KM&M's Managing Partner and Entertainment Group Leader. "He brings not only deep legal knowledge but also firsthand insight into how creative and business decisions intersect in this fast-evolving industry."

Earlier in his career, Mr. Stone worked in television development as Director of Development for a studio-affiliated production company. A lifelong advocate for the creative community, he is a former member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Mr. Stone earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School and his B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Founded more than 50 years ago, KM&M represents businesses, ranging from Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, mom-and-pop shops and not-for-profit entities, with respect to all labor, employment and immigration matters. KM&M combines a dedication to its clients and their long-term interests with a common-sense appreciation that clients want nothing more than to spend their time and energy building their own businesses and pursuing their own goals rather than on what might be distracting legal problems. The hallmark of KM&M's service to its clients is its combination of large-firm expertise and quality with boutique firm flexibility and personal service.
