Validus Holdings, Ltd. (“Validus”) is furnishing certain pro forma financial information that
gives effect to the amalgamation of IPC Holdings, Ltd. (“IPC”) with Validus Ltd. pursuant to the
agreement and plan of amalgamation dated as of July 9, 2009 among Validus, IPC and Validus Ltd. as
if it had occurred on June 30, 2009. This information is attached to this Current Report on Form
8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
