The earthquake in Japan occurred on March 11, 2011.

(1). According to our latest understanding, our employees served at M. Setek Co., Ltd (“M. Setek”) and AU Optronics Corporation Japan, subsidiaries of AUO, are all safe and sound.
|
|
|
(2). As requested by local police, all employees worked at Soma facility of M. Setek were evacuated safely. There was no damage to our Soma facility before the evacuation.
|
However, we will check the status of Soma facility after no safety concern.
(3). We are still trying to understand the status of our vendors and customers in Japan.
