Item 8.01 Other Events.

On July 16, 2009, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.24 per share. The dividend will be payable on August 17, 2009 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on July 27, 2009. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
