TIM Participações SA ("Company") hereby announces, in view of the news broadcast on September 5, 2011 on the “Valor Econômico” Newspaper in the section “Eu&Investimentos”, page D1, informs its shareholders, the market in general and other interested parties that company promptly contact its indirect controlling shareholder, Telecom Italia SpA, and it has been informed that Telecom Italia does not plan to sell any part of its stake in TIM Brazil directly or indirectly in the Company and even works with such a  hypothesis genre.
