Brasil Telecom captures 625 million broadband clients


Brasília, Brazil, April 07, 2005 – BRASIL TELECOM S.A.’s (NYSE: BTM; BOVESPA: BRTO3/BRTO4) CEO, Carla Cico, announced that the Company reached the mark of 625 thousand broadband accesses in its concession area in the first quarter of the year. “Our target is to maintain our vice-leadership in the Latin American market,” said Cico, who arrived yesterday from London and New York, where she had been over the past weeks. Carla Cico set as a target for this year, to double the number of more than 500 thousand broadband accesses attained at the end of 2004.
