This Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K is deemed filed for all purposes under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, including by reference in the Registration Statement on Form F-3 (Registration No. 33-99550) and the Registration Statement on Form F-3 (Registration No. 333-9180).
Korea Electric Power Corporation (“KEPCO”) appointed Mr. Park, Jong-Hwak as its chief financial officer on September 1, 2007. Mr. Park, aged 57, also currently serves as Senior Vice President of Planning and Coordination Division of KEPCO and has been KEPCO’s Standing Director since August 11, 2006. Mr. Park previously served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Service Division of KEPCO. Mr. Park holds a bachelor of arts degree in law from Korea University. The former chief financial officer, Mr. Moon, Ho, was appointed as Executive Vice President of KEPCO.
